Oh No! It’s an alien Invasion” is a series produced by Nelvana for YTV inspired off of my 2006 short film “Oh Shit” and developed by Phil Ivanusic and myself into a series for 8 to 12 year olds. The show didn’t quite turn out as we envisioned it, due to myself not being there to art direct and direct the series. I made a decision at that time to focus more on music and live action films.

Tweaks – Phil and I get a design pack every week where we give our thoughts. When something feels off, we send notes like these and It’s then up to the studio to decide if it’s in their budget and preference to make the changes. Here’s a couple examples of the tweaks we reply with.
Nate lalala – The main character is always a challenge to get a thumbs up from the studio and broadcasters. They didn’t like the dorky/funny helmet version I originally had. They later sent me a backstreet boy version (top left) and so I had to fight back as to not have him look like NSYNC.
Alien – Early Alien design
